There is no option to select a draw in the NRL, or NFL. Due to the unlikely result of a game ending in a draw and feedback received we removed this option altogether.
In the unlikely event a draw does occur it will be treated as a correct tip for all tipsters.
If applicable any prize money will be allocated by your comp manager offline without iTipFooty involvement or knowledge.
Please contact your comp manager for any questions to do with prizes. iTipFooty does not provide or get involved with any private tipping comp prizes.
The knockout comp runs concurrently with the tipping comp. No extra points are given to the overall tipping comp from the Knockout tips. Each Week Tipsters will need to nominate one winning Team that they think will win each Week (Tipsters cannot pick the same Team in two consecutive Weeks). If the Team they select wins, they progress to the next Week. If the Team they select loses or the match ends in a Draw, they are knocked out (Note: this will not knock them out of the overall Tipping Comp - it only affects the Knockout Comp). If the last remaining tipsters in a knockout comp are all knocked out in the same round they will be automatically reinstated to continue until a knockout comp winner is found.
The Knockout Comp is a bonus game of skill for Tipsters and commences in the round the Comp Manager activates this feature or when the tipping comp is created.
If your Knockout Comp does go off sooner than you want it too and you want to run the KO Comp again, all you need to do (as the Comp Manager) is restart the KO Comp in your 'KO Comp'. This will re-activate the Knockout Comp for all Tipsters from that next Week.
The margin system is used to find an outright winner. It ranks tippers by lowest margin when tipsters are tied on the same score. The lower your margin is the higher you will rank.
Tipsters are required to pick a 'margin' for the first game in each round when submitting tips. Tipsters simply choose for that game how much they think their selected team will win by.
How margin is calculated
Margin for an correct tip is calculated: Game winning margin - tipped margin
Margin for an incorrect tip is calculated: Game winning margin + tipped margin
For example tipster tips eagles to win by 11. The eagles win by 38 so the margin is calculated to find the difference (Game winning margin (38) - tipped margin(11)) = 27.
Now if tipster had tipped the eagles opponent to win by 11 the margin is calculated differently because the tip was incorrect. difference (Game winning margin (38) + tipped margin(11)) = 49.
Your comp manager will select whether to include or exclude bye rounds for perfect round bonus.
